On October 12, 2006 Lundgren Management was notified by Steve Sundman, Project Architect/Manager for the Office of Court Construction and Management, that Lundgren was selected among seven firms for Construction Management Services for Court Construction in California.

The Office of Court Construction and Management (OCCM) leads the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) implementation of the Trial Court Facilities Act of 2002, landmark legislation that shifts governance of California's courthouses to the state. The current Judicial Branch Five-Year Plan for FY 2007-2008 was submitted to the State Department of Finance (DOF) on September 8, 2006 and includes 181 court projects sorted into five project priority groups: 94 are new construction to replace obsolete existing court facilities, 45 are renovations to existing court facilities, and 42 are expansions of existing or future court facilities. Total construction on these projects is estimated at $8.96 Billion.

The Qualifications process began at a July 13th dinner hosted by CMAA for the AOC at the Marriott Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. All of the major CM firms in Southern California were in attendance. The AOC presented the Court Construction Plan and asked that all interested firms reply to their RFQ posted on their website and that multiple firms would be selected to undertake the various projects. Lundgren Management submitted Qualifications on August 15, 2006 and was short-listed along with 16 other firms on August 31 (see list of firms below). All seventeen Construction Management firms were interviewed by the AOC throughout the state of California. Lundgren interviewed on September 13, 2006 in Burbank, California with Mr. Sundman (Project Architect/Manager), Mr. Swickard (Manager of Design and Construction Services) and Ms. Freiwald (Project Manager) of the OCCM. Lundgren was officially notified of selection on October 12, 2006.

In all, 26 firms responded to the RFQ, 17 were shortlisted and interviewed, and 7 firms were finally selected for Construction Management Services (see firms selected below along with their region).

The AOC is currently finishing interviews for Architectural and Engineering Services so it is unclear when work will commence on the various projects.
